The Glacial Baikal. Down the Baikal Ice and Snow-covered Ol'khon.

The program is estimated for 14 days .

Only once a year! An exciting tour full of adventures and unforgettable impressions! A trip to a winter fairy tale of the glacial Baikal. To move on ice is easy not only on foot, but also on a bike. You will be able to see Ol'khon, legendary Shamanka Rock, Sagan-Khushun Rock, Khoboi Cape - the names to be encountered in every guidebook. Also you will see what only Baikal experts are aware of - some ice grottoes and the caves, latent in rocks' breaks and unavailable in summer.

The tour program:
1st day - arrival in Irkutsk. Accommodation at the Baikalhostel. (accommodation at city hotels is also possible at extra charge). A tour of the city, viewing history and architecture monuments, visiting the history museum.
2nd day - transportation by minibus from Irkutsk to Lake Baikal, the Uyuga cape (260 km). Arranging a tent camp.
3d day - a hike on the Baikal ice (the Maloye Sea) up to Zamogoi island (9 km), which is the third in size on the lake water area. On the way visiting marble Ol'trek island is supposed. Arranging a tent camp. Walks around the picturesque island.
4th day - a hike on the Baikal ice (the Maloye Sea) up to Ol'khon island (16 km). Viewing well-known Shamanka Rock and visiting the legendary shamanistic cave near the settlement of Khuzhir. Arranging a tent camp.
5th day - a hike on the Baikal ice up to the Bukhun cape (8 km). Viewing ice grottoes. Arranging a tent camp.
6th day - a hike on the Baikal ice up to Pestchanka (15 km). Arranging a tent camp. Walks around the remarkable sand beaches, sites of ancient people.
7th day - a hike on the Baikal ice up to the Butu-Orsa cape (14 km). Arranging a tent camp.
8th day - a day-off, walks, ice-climbing, visiting an ice cave on the Ular' cape, a field-bath.
9th day - a hike on the Baikal ice up to Sagan-Khushun Rock and the Khoboi cape, the northern tip of Ol'khon island (10 km). Viewing some ice coastal grottoes. Returning to the base camp.
10th day - a hike on the Baikal ice up to Sagan-Khushun Rock and the Khoboi cape, the northern tip of Ol'khon island (10 km). Viewing some ice coastal grottoes. Returning to the base camp.
11th day - transportation by minibus from Ol'khon island to Irkutsk (315 km).
12th day - a tour of the "Village of Tal'tsy" ethnographic museum where surprising samples of age-old wooden architecture have been collected. Transportation by minibus from Irkutsk to Tal'tsy (47 km) and fro.
13th day - a day-off, walks around the city.
14th day - departure

- The necessary safety, speleological outfit and equipment, special gear to visit caves
- Present-day double or triple tents
- The equipment for the base camp
- Three hiking meals a day according to the program
